Hey Fred

was wondering how much longer you would be stalking the forums before making your first post...LOL....Same paint as when you saw it.

You should have been in Jax with your 36 Skater and those monsters that Leon built......no excuses, no board meetings, etc. next year.

As you missed the MDR run in Cayman this year here's the link to the onboard vid of the start of the offshore class from the 42PR. You are welcome to run your Fountain in MDR again but please don't bring down that beast you and Derebery are tinkering with......you might force me to go skiing instead!!

You need to have some competition! Another solo run- did you lap them? You're right about my virgin post- but remember, while you're sleeping, I'll be creeping!

He left at 1:58 and you appeared to be 1/4 mile behind at that point. So in effect 19 seconds plus what the 1/4 represents. At 2:17 i cant even see the start boat.
How far back at the bridge was the second place boat.He may be the actual first to the bridge based on time.

skater40 06-10-2010 08:55 PM

Looking at jayboats photos at the bribge,it appears that 3 boats are less than 10 seconds behind.:party-smiley-004:

a bunch of boats took off on the right side as can be seen in Cashbars video then the boat to my left....on my video you can clearly see all of the roostertails shoot up to the left of the screen when everyone left.

you passed him like he had an anchor out........sorry about your belt, put your regular 91oct motors in and no one can catch you anyway.

Therfe were severawl that jumped the start. Some just had better jumps.

Either way, only 2-3 boats were really capable.

yea you can call that home court advantage! bill i run that line quite often making a lick. I was just trying not to hit the sailboat that wondered into our line. That would have been worse than the no wake marker i rubbed last year:hitit:

The 2 boats, cuttin loose and the MTI of Richie Prince did not jump the start and look at jayboats pictures at the bridge to see that they were in Purgatorys wake at the bridge.
They deserve some credit as Cuttin Loose wouldhave beat him if the start was even.

Seems from your first post on this thread that you have a problem with the Purgatory boat.:point:

Seems like Cuttin Loose has been putting on a pretty good show lately!

Looking good Dale. Time to retire from Realty and go full pro.

When are you going to let me run this boat? After all it is named after me ;)

I had to sign up just to rub it in. :D

Later, Purgatory

Boatless-i always have a problem when someone goes to a poker run and doesnt pay attention at the drivers meeting.
Jumping the start is uncalled for.Posting a video that clearly shows how far in front of the rest of the boats at the start isnt real smart either.
Other than that i love the looks of the boat and the sound of a blower motor gettin it on.

Silly me....all along I thought it was because Grant set me up with 1:33 gears to run at 7000 rpm for acceleration while everyone was running 1:24 gear sets and big wheels for top end. Here's a pic on the soft limiter at 54% throttle opening the day before.....you can confirm that with Tommy if you want.

Well, I wasn't there and I don't pretend to know anymore than what I read and see, however, I did not see anyone mention your boat there so why are you so ruffled when it is apparent from the same video you referenced that the boats around Purgatory left ahead of him and he and others took off also. Purgatory did not take anything from you so lower your blood pressure and calm down. It's a poker run, not a race anyways. No one won anything for being to the bridge first and either way they took nothing out of your pocket.

+1 congrats to them on a great run. There was an alarm that went off before the bridge and Darrell backed out of it some. First open cockpit boat to the bridge... not bad for a set of lil ol' 1200's :drink:

:bsflag:
The two boats behind him, at the bridge ,left when the pace boat dropped the flag. All i am saying is that they deserve the true credit as they were reeling him in at the bridge.
You being "BOATLESS' you dont have any idea of the disappointment or discust that a poker runner feels when a couple of boats jump the start and leave before the pace boat releases them.No my boat wasnt there ,blood pressure is fine ,-go back and reread the previous posts so you can get educated.

Boatless or not, I had just as many boats in that Poker Run as you did but unlike yourself, I belive those that were actually there and paid $ to particpate in the event have a right to complain or in your world Bit*h, about how they feel about the run. Unless I missed something, no one is having you voice their feelings about the event.

Richie won't say it but he also stoped when Bill broke and through up the yellow flag to let other boaters he didn't want to become a ski ramp!! Just saying

Guys, I have been racing (not at this level but just as competitive) with Dale for a longtime and trust me he will find a way to be out front if humanly possible and he always brings the best of the best. Dale is never satisfied to be just be competitive, he wants a buffer so he doesn't get any surpises.

I wasn't there but I can tell you there is a lot he isn't saying, what I can assure you is no matter how the start went it was going to be very, very difficult for the other boats to beat him to the bridge if he really wanted to be first.

TPS position.....as the boat gets more efficient you can back off the throttle and still maintain speed. Every time I've run the boat I've hit the limiters and had to back the throttle off to keep under 6800. I've only run the boat about 6 times and that pic was the first time with 15lbs of boost and 40 Herings. Unfortunately I broke a blade that day so we put on 38s and bump the limiters up to over 7000 for Saturday.

I definitely don't profess to be in the same top end category as Bill or Gino but Tommy and Grant definitely have it running well......going from the throttle body injection to the multi port injection that Bill is running gave me a huge bump in torque. The extra 3lbs of boost didn't hurt either!

Boat runs and looks great , Dale! Congrats!

"What's the speed of your boys boat???" is a very good question, truth is he doesn't know yet. Put it this way it accelerates stong in the 170's with the other props but I am disrespecting anyone that is running in high 100s, those are plain and simple impressive numbers.

Nothing sinister in my comment. Like any other good competitor he will take advantage of every opportunity within the rules but don't think I am suggesting for a minute that he would be cheating. What I mean is you can bet you ain't seen everything yet and even though (due to the props) he didn't have as fast a top speed on the day as some of the other competitors I know he still had sand left in the bag to shake out if he needed it.

cool, doug wrights are very fast, I'm sure with 40's the boat will run close to 180mph especially with canopy, would like to see a 34 canopy run with those 1200's, that would be scary fast
