This certainly was built to order and they did a great job at it !

I personally complimented Reggie in the Pits at Sunny Isles that this boat was going to be dominant in the SVL Class.

jtmiller...now that is nice work! Glad to see Fountain stepping it up.
I would be embarassed to show you all the wiring up the helm of my 38TE. It's a rat's nest for sure!

From what I read it was out of the 33 mold.

That is what Michael "Doc" Janssen, the owner of the boat, told me as well. (I interviewed him for a story that will appear on Powerboatmag.com and I'll provide the link when it posts.)

Janseen said they cut off the boat's swim platform—hence the 3-foot reduction in hull length. To create a lower profile, the boat's deck was also cut down.

I owned a Fountain for 8 years and the only think nice I can say about the boat is it a good bang for the buck and quick. Along with the poor rigging things always rattled and sounded like it was coming apart.
