Agree with the thought but these people are off their rockers. Im against whaling but, just like any other species that we hunt what makes these different?

Why not hunt the whales? My impression is there are too few of them left. But, like many other species whose to say how few should we hunt them down too, when is enough or how many whales does there need to be?

Maybe there are enough whales out there that what the Japs kill won't matter?

Suggestion: Netflix "The Cove" if you have even a shred of confidence in Japan's policies toward conservation and the humane treatment of animals.

Whales have been hunted to near extinction and through the efforts of many countries, have been saved from that. To allow Japan to continue what they are doing is just because as developed nations we don't have the balls to take a trade partner on. Just like we don't have the balls to call BS on issues as diverse as Darfur or China's currency policy.

I gave this show a chance the other night, watching two episodes back to back... both re-runs I assume, the last one being the one where that Ady Gil boat got wrecked.

While I admire the motivation these folks have for trying to save these impressive animals... I think they are a bunch of inexperienced loons at sea. they are messing with their lives and the lives of their crews. I love animals - but no animal is worth that to me. Intentionally trying to cause damage and injury to other boaters out doing a job. They deserve whatever happens to them. the show increasingly annoyed me listening to these idiots. Just my $.02
