Wow.
I'm not familiar at all with the set up of these boats. Foot throttle I understand, but what is the pedal on the left and the stick on the floor? |

Left foot control
I have them used for a single cavitation plate across the transom so they can quickly adjust the bow down.
|
Cavitation plate.
The handle between your knees changes the 'home' position of the plate. The foot pedal allows quick changes from the home position...... down pedal = down plate. Helps to plant the boat.
|
the only good thing is the river isnt that wide they would find the bodys easy
|
holy crap
|
holy ****, how fast we're they going? That has to be one wild ass ride
|

I agree! Thanks for sharing. |
Looked like a blast. Next!
|
So, how fast was that? Toooo Coool!
|
I'd bet that was at least 110, vdrives with decent power have no trouble getting to 120+. The driver was doing a good job of keeping the boat level.
Being a passenger in a fast vdrive or jet is a hair raising experience. If you are lucky you have one handle and the side/bottom of the seat to hang on. I have always driven and the driver has the steering wheel and foot braces a lot to keep your mind busy. A ride in the passenger seat a couple of weeks ago really opened my eyes to the sheer speed and terror that the exposed passenger seating delivers:eek: I must say though, shame on them for not wearing ballistic jackets or at least poker run jackets. Great video otherwise. |

WOW!!
I get a big enough rush going 100 out in the ocean in a 39' boat... Now going 100+ in a 21' boat in some semi boat chop I would probably have a heart attack!! |
low hundies w/1300 hp in a boat that weighs maybe 4k and sitting a foot and half off the water? That's a ride!! You can almost feel the pull on that thing in that video.
|
thats "the River" .
The rest of the world has no idea the true meaning of the word..ludicrous. lu·di·crous [loo-di-kruhs] Show IPA –adjective causing laughter because of absurdity; provoking or deserving derision; ridiculous; laughable: Uncle Dave |
Looked like the passenger said "I shiit my shorts", and the drive said "I knew you would"
|
I half expected to see the passenger go flying up in the air like an ejection seat.
Can't say I'd feel much at ease if I were the driver of the last 2-3 boats he passed  But great driving |
Tank, I don't care that you borrowed the video for here.. We make them for everyone to enjoy (offshore guys / river guys etc..) . :) Feel free to post up any other videos if you feel they are worthy.
I watch a lot of offshore vids, even though I don't do a lot of offshore boating is what i'm saying.. Nice site. RD |

The small boats at 100+ are scary fast. I have owned a few 20-22' cats with outboards that would run 115-120. A lot more exciting than running that same speed in a bigger boat which can almost be boring. Great video!

I was running this one Sunday down on the river.
Hard to beat the acceleration:drink: |
is that water spraying out of the v-drive 6:12-6:13?
|
looks like fun:drink:

As mentioned earlier,.. with a good driver like the one in this video the passenger seat can make you rethink high speed boating,..you might be saying what was I thinking when I crawled in this animal. Great Video.
|
O.k. cool boat, but where the hell is his Ice water?:lolhit:
|
I've always wanted a 20-22 picklefork with a 1000+ jet drive

Long story short what you saw at 6:13 was when he let off the gas a little bit of water from the bildge ran forward and hit the prop shaft etc.. and sprayed up a hair.. It's an open stringer boat so water can run from the back to just in front of the pedals where there is a bulkhead that houses a 3rd fuel tank etc.. RD |
great video... what was the site where there are more?

I don't want to put the URL directly in a post, because I don't want to spam my site on OSO or come off that way etc.. These vids are just for online entertainment etc.. So I hope you guys like them.. If you think the video on the 1st page is crazy though.. How about 100 mph pulling skiers? :D This vid most everything is 60 - 100+ mph on the same stretch of river.. If you watch it in HD / fullscreen during one segment you can see a rope gets hooked on the inside of another boats canopy during a turn etc.. http://vimeo.com/10627278 These 2 are the 4th of July party videos.. 2 different editors that do vids for the site perspectives on the same weekend. http://vimeo.com/13557342 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdjOAmDiubw I'm not computer Savvy enough to get them to embed in the post.. I'd like to fed ex the little waterproof cameras out to some of the offshore guys during poker runs etc.. and start making some videos for those events as well. RD |

Reminds me of the good Ole days back in Rockford on the Rock River, when I had a little 16' Hustler and tearing up the river. We had a few crazy dudes with fast boats and during the week days we went out and just went nuts. Never on the weekend, :) too much boats and not flat, mirror like water.
Some of my "friends" called my boat the "suicide machine". About 70+ started to lift up like a plane and about 80 when I got it back down. Good times for sure. I could only imagine what some of the river boats can do with the newer power and drive packages now. One thing is for sure... all the speed..all the power.. a few good 4 -5 ' rollers,,, and no more drive.. no more power :) It's all offshore for me now. And I still spend gizziolion hours in the bilge fixing and tweaking. Good vid, and fun.. THanks... P |
