I know I should do a search, but can someone tell me the Wix Oil filter number for a Merc 700 SCI. Thanks

It depends on what year 700 sci you have. Ours is an 07 and it takes a 51222r wix. Some of the later 700 sci's use the above filter, which is the same as the 525's I believe.

The boat was built in spring 07. Is there a way to tell for sure which filter I need? Thank you.

Safest way is get part number of filter on there now then cross-reference to Wix if that is your brand of choice.
