Checked in with Nick Buis at Statement today, http://www.boats.com/boat-content/20...nsoles-coming/.
They do keep things interesting—even in a tough economy.
A center-console with a "floating sole" sure seems like a good idea to me.

Usually when someone news comes into the performance boat biz......us longtime veterans look at each other roll our eyes and go "oh boy!" So, wanna take bets?????
Prior to meeting Nick & Todd as part of Statement, my path never crossed theirs. I thought they were new to boats and the biz.
Well............I was pretty wrong on that one. I then had the opportunity to have dinner with both of them here in NJ when they came up for Shore Dreams For Kids.
I have to say that now knowing both of them for over a year they both have my respect and admiration for their work, their passion and their knowledge. Plus, they are genuinely great people. Todd is also very intense to talk to (in a good way).
I remember in Miami last year he was taking me through the cat and explaining the differences in his design vs. everyone else. At the end I asked what friggin engineering school did you go to?
He replied.....school? What school?
My jaw dropped and just said....................WOOOOOOOOOW!
Best of luck to them on the center console! They shared some secrets with me in Miami that I can't share but I will say..it will be amazing!

Good looking boat and love the concept of the suspended cabin. How many boats have they made? I'd like to see what one looks like without the Bentley-esque interior.
