Default 1981 Merc 454/330 rpm range?

I currently have a 24' carrera with a slightly worked 454/330. I am running a 21p revolution. At WOT i am just breaking 4500rpm. Does this sound right to anyone? Does anyone know the recommended RPM range for a 1981 454/330?

The stock 330 max rpm rating is 4600 . Not saying you couldn't turn it higher ...

How do you like the handling with the revolution? If it is good, how is the speed? May want to try the 21 mirage just for kiks also.

Recommended RPM range is 4200-4600 so you're right there with at 4500.

rchevelle71 I love the Rev4 on my 24. Best handling propped to date and I have tried a few. A little slower than my Mirage but the handling makes up for it.

The boat rips out of the hole and plains out very quickly. It also handles amazingly.
