44MTI 07-18-2010 01:11 AM

Just a slight correction. The first boat there was Hammertime, corvette boat was second. Eric was the third or forth boat there. We stopped just outside the card stop for a beverages and to watch the field. They may have gotten the first card, I'm not sure. I never worry about getting cards.
I really appreciate my buddies for making the trip to our pond. Hope you had fun.

Just remember, it's a poker run, speed doesn't matter-------well kinda, sorta ish oh well, never mind

Cash Bar 07-18-2010 10:05 AM

Who's first never matters unless it is the person talking about it or the immediate chasers. If youre 10-50th it's just a rooster on the horizon to follow.

Nice job Michael. Hope to see ALL of you for Key West this year. Sorry I missed your event but I have two people to consider when making plans now. :party-smiley-004:

It was a great time!! The poker run was fun like they always are but we got to make this one with a bunch of friends we usually only see at LOTO or in Flordia. Awsome hardware. Then how about Statments rolling car show in Ugly's parking lot? A real Sox & Martin car, a Dick Landy car, one of Earnhart's championship cars. Then Jim Lee's looooong smokey burnouts in the Camaro. And how many poker runs have you had a top fuel dragster shooting header flames six feet in the air in the parking lot? When Jim Anderson lit that baby off, the bar emptied out!

Combining the class of Platinimun Powerboat Club with the purpose of the Make a Wish Foundation and the laid back style of Ugly Johns and GLOC made this a special event. Thanks to everyone who worked so hard on this.

Gee, you break a drive?

Spine Tingler 07-18-2010 10:51 PM

Who fukn cares? We started behind mid pack and still got to pass almost all of the field. Only a little hairy when we got a little "squeezed" around goat island. We were the first boat to the other stops because we wanted to actually participate in the run and not just shoot our wad and sit around. Everyone wants something different from the run but for us it was a great day and she's back on the lift safe and sound. The water was great due to all of the cruiser wakes. Wish the freakin morons who float randomly through the center of the channel would get a clue. Great time!

Ugly John's Poker Run

It has been brought to my attention that the wrong boat is being posted as the "winner" to the first card stop .The first boat to the card stop was The ZO44 Corvette boat.If anyone has a doubt please feel free to call me at (918) 266-6633 .The Z044 MTI was the true" BIG DADDY "of the poker run. I would like to thank everyone that was invoved in making this poker run a huge success,it was a total team effort by all.The real winner of this great event was the kids ! John :bsflag::bsflag:

Quinlan 07-19-2010 05:50 AM

Repeat after me This is NOT a race!! lol.
And I am with Farley I can not beleive that one of the spectator boats didnt get taken out!
At the start they lined the whole fukn lake!

sommerfliesby 07-19-2010 09:23 AM

Ok...so there were THREE "first" boats to the card stop? How do you Okies do math? :)

waterboy222 07-19-2010 09:28 AM

This is about to get good....

Great time had by all! It was one hot mofo though! Thanks to everyone that helped out on the charity rides the day before the run. The impact on those kids lives will not soon be forgotten..Plus rumor has it that we raised more money for the charity than anyone else ever has!!

none, if I remember correctly. There was a 28, a 368, a 40 classic and a 40ss and two 46's. But maybe I missed one somewhere.
