Jim,

Took these today, I'll e-mail the actual files so you can blow them up or do what you want with them. The material is 1" Polyethelyne, reused the rams from my Trim Tabs.

Ben Roberston engineered & installed it, he's making the run w/ me + racing in KW if you want to pick his brain.

Had another great weekend for boating on LKN. My last outing to make sure everything is in order heading to Key West.
Great air & water conditions w/ plenty of running room. Got on the limiters a few times, would have liked to try to have spun a pr of 39 or 40's!

Mike,
Boat looks like it is running great! Motors sound good. Miss running on the Lake for testing. Let me know where you all are leaving from in Miami and on what day?
Hope we have good weather for a ocean run down there.

Yes sir same size prop shafts. I might take you up on that offer.

I've been trying to get my hands on some bigger props to run here back to back in the same conditions (50-60 deg early in day) but most only have the Mercury 1200hp props & I run Hering SCL props.

You deserve another just so you can appreciate the tunnel tab & how it tamed the porpoise!

C_Spray 10-24-2011 01:00 PM

Depends on the last 4 cup races. If Brad keeps up his charge, you might not be speaking to me any more... ;)

See you there!

stainless 10-24-2011 01:09 PM

Looks great!

Wild 10-24-2011 02:13 PM

Mine are Merc SCL props, see ya in a few weeks

meizu754uio 10-25-2011 04:04 AM

Cat,

You know all Skater trailers come stock w/ such. See pic in post 1!

Yes I'd love to have a wrap around windscreen but if I did that in addition to the drives I'm thinking I'd have more money in it than the fastest 32 listed in the classifieds!

Hey ML, did you manage to find another set of props to run?

Wild said I could try his 38's & Hering may have 2 sets for me to try. Possibly a set of Ti props. Tough part will be conditions as compared to LKN where I've done all my previous testing. Maybe able to take a set of Herings home w/ me.

When are you leaving & headed south?

johnlomant 11-02-2011 07:09 AM

I have some 38 mercs witch are like 39 herring, I live in ATL if you ever are in the area your welcome to try them.

Thank you sir I appreciate the offer! The Mercs tend to provide more stern lift & make my boat a little squirrely

You enjoying the new to you ride?

Nice pic of Isabell !

SkiDoc 11-15-2011 05:47 AM

Enjoyed video. Looks like it's 100percent dialed in. That had to be lots of fun.

C_Spray 11-15-2011 11:25 AM

Michael/Swede - Good to see you guys at KW, although not nearly enough time together. The boat looked great as always!

cowisl 11-15-2011 12:12 PM

Boat looks great!

mrb30 11-15-2011 12:33 PM

boat looks great and is running strong..

NASCAT 11-15-2011 01:05 PM

Thanks to all, I do have it dialed in now. Ran flawless throughout the week.

Skater30 11-15-2011 06:47 PM

Glad to hear it's all dialed in and you're happy with it. These inboard 30s are really great boats with mild, naturally aspirated power. It's interesting to me that your 30 (#2 built) is an '07 and mine (#1 build) is an '05.

NASCAT 11-15-2011 08:38 PM

My assumption is that it's based on the completion date & what Skater considers their production year!

Skater30 11-15-2011 08:57 PM

I believe the model year cutoff date is the sixth (June) month of the year, and my boat was finished/delivered in May of '05 (hence the '05 model). I don't remember Mills waiting over a year before he got his after I got mine. I'm guessing he did though, and it must have been on or after June of '06. Either way, I'm glad it's working well for you!

NASCAT 11-16-2011 07:18 AM

To me the year of a boat like yours or mine matters not b/c each one is custom unlike a Formula or Baja where they were mass produced & similarly built just different engine pkgs or colors. Your & my boat are unique & you can't really compare them to any other boat except for maybe each other and even then you have custom power w/ Arnesons & I have a production power w/ matching retrofitted drives.

At the end of the day our boats are only worth what someone else is willing to pay for them regardless of the year! Just my $.02!

Downtown42 11-16-2011 01:25 PM

Congrats also on #48's historical run !! Class act.

ktron 11-16-2011 04:04 PM

Nascat, I was checking your boat out at Islamorada, VERY NICE!! Glad you had a great run!!!

Ktron - Nice to meet you at the Ilmor booth in KW. Sorry that I got distracted, and couldn't spend more time with you.

ktron 11-17-2011 09:10 AM

Nascat, You were busy and I didn't want to bother you. Next time I will make sure to introduce myself.

C Spray, Great meeting you too! I love your Bat boat, it is quite a rocketship!
