Default Sterling 1700 Coming

Looking forward to seeing this, http://www.boats.com/boat-content/20...engine-coming/.

Look for a post-dyno update on this engine next week.

Sunsation,

This one is so early that they haven't taken pictures, and if they had the thing would be missing a bunch of parts.

Checking back with Mike D. at Sterling next week. I'll ask for pics ... and he'll laugh at me.

Thanks for the kind words.

The 1550 was good for one race in Bud Select vs. Gieco in St Clair a few years ago. By the end of the race you could tell it was down on power. In a poker run boat, it would have to be watched carefully and probably torn down at the end of each season.

Dyno testing this week, if all goes to schedule, should give an indication. Before anyone gently, cordially explains to me that dyno testing is far from the "real world," see the key word: indication.

Mike at Sterling asked me to follow up next week. I will.
