Back from the lake.
This conversation with Matt was a bit tongue in cheek.
I really didn't have any intentions of running the course.
Once you head to the start boat it normally takes about an hour and a half til the time you make a pass. I didn't really want to spend all that time. Besides who wants to see a big CC run down the course at 70 MPH? It's not like it's some hi-performance pontoon or anything cool like that!
On the docks at Capt Ron's, Doc Jansen thought I should run because he said he was not this year. Still wasn't going to but then I looked out on the course and saw Craig Barrie run the 38 Donzi with trip 300's and turned in a 66 MPH pass.
I had brought my 4 blade props which aren't the fastest but with 12 people on board for the fun run we still ran 70 MPH.
I was pretty sure I could do better than 66.
Anyway strapped on the helmet and clocked in at 72 on the gun.
Overall it was a great weekend and the turn out of boats for the fun run, poker run, shootout, and specators was the best I've seen in my many years of attending.

Congrats Terry.
You could have gotten at least 74 mph on the gun if you would have put some aluminum foil on center console windshield!!!
