Does anyone know any details? Is this really happening? I heard it was off?

I was wondering about this myself. They had cancelled it last year by this time - and I have heard even less about it this year. The promoter doesn't seem to be trying to engage the local performance boat people - actually alienated most of them last year. Has anybody heard/seen any local promotion of this event? Great idea...seems poorly managed.

Don't know...I tried contacting the promoter my self and got no response.

Talked to a guy at the city that approved most of the permits and even he is NOT SURE this is going on.

If you do a few searches on the pirate site you will find out exactly what kind of person the event promoter is.

For a big event like this thats less than a month away, wouldnt you expect a few people entering to be talking about it?

Right now, I could enter a sailboat and win the title for fastest boat since Id be the only one entering.

she has daily sunset sailboat rides on her schedule.... you may have some competition...
