the transmission did not blow up.... it only lost the fluid out the front seal.... the transmission is fine... the front bushing in the pump was pulled forward to the seal which made it leak the fluid out... when we pulled it out and saw that we knew something had to be not in line like the bellhousing not being on the dowles or something had to not be spinning in a circle and wobbling... we spun the engine with a dial indicator on the flex plate and the center was spinning .150 out of center.... so we drilled out the holes bigger that bolt it to the flywheel and machined a tool to center it then tightened it back up and put the transmission back on and took the other transmission out checked the flexplate on that engine and it was about .050 out so we went ahead and drilled it and centered it too..

the boat would not get on plane because it just blows the props out and never gets traction.. has too much power.. we try to barely give it gas and it still blows the prop out so we measured the x dimension and its about 5/8 higher then pure platinum so we put another half inch of spacer in and went and tried it again and its better but I think we need bigger diameter props..

keep in mind the first time this boat was started was late saturday afternoon... we went to ramp to try to run it and the alternators were not charging... that took awhile to fix we had not ate yet so we took the boat to go eat... had the transmission leak and then spent all day sunday fixing the stuff on the boat... then worked most of the day yesterday stilll fixing boat stuff and went to the water late afternoon and ran around all evening having fun.. it was reasonably rough out on lake michigan.. so we did not want to go very fast but we ran 136 mph at 3 lbs boost with the throttle position sensor at 52% thats half throttle. that is pretty fast in 3-5 footers with a brand new boat on its maiden voyage... we are going to let them finnish buffing the boat and finnish the things that were not done then this afternoon were going to head to loto and hope we get enough time to run around and test to get the computer programming done so we can run the shootout.
