Skaterfest participants PLEASE READ!

Douglas Marine announced this afternoon that they will be offering a sweet incentive for the Skaterfest participant that has the fastest speed at this year's Lake of the Ozarks Shoot-out!

Mr. Hledin has offered $10,000 to the fastest Skater to run in this years Shoot-out!!
As a bonus if any Skaters break the 190+ the cash prize will double to $20,000!!

We at Team Skater would like to thank Douglas Marine for this outstanding contribution to Skaterfest 2010!
We hope to see everyone there!

Maybe Gatorone could borrow Motors from Gino and collect the cash :)

I started to edit my post earlier as I obviously can't afford a horse in the race & my comment could have been taken the wrong way.. So I will go ahead & say for the record: Even though it was a mere question I probably should have worded my post differently..

I'm in no way the type of dude who runs his mouth about other peoples cool stuff like its mine... I was a pretty hardcore street racer for years so I knew all those guys if that makes any sense.. :drink:

Since the Shootout is to benefit the local fire districts it sure would be nice to see that extra prize money donated to the event.

no that part is mystic...in fact the foam that is used is some crazy stuff! flexible and hard to cut because it locks up the blades. grinders melt the stuff. the only way it seemed is air chisel it out of there! so it held the prop ULTRA secure. if it was balsa or another material it would have fallen out.

what is not seen, seems to lacking as this backing plate shows. yes it is failing.

Bob Morgan and his 4 engine 46 was the fastest Skater at last years Shootout. He'll be there again.

i can see him doing well again. along with the guy that won lake havasu the year prior to us.

we still weigh more than 10k and our acceleration takes place at over 100mph!

What's the deal with Dennis P's new boat and word if it's going to make it or not? That thing is going to be wicked with that power!

Is there any turbine Skaters out there? May be a dumb question...I just have not seen any.

Hopefully it will be there. 24/7 type of work to get it done. If it makes it to LOTO I'll take a few side bets.:party-smiley-004: Lot of new parts with no run time but I'll still take some side bets. Kind of of crap shoot.
