Default 1,800 HP, single engine, what hull?

Hello everyone, first post here and I hope to get some good advice on this.......

If you had 1,800 HP going into a hull with a single engine, what hull would it be? Not looking for brand new but used. Every boat over 27-28' goes to twins from what I can see.

V-hull or cat?

What drive would you want?

This would be for lake use only.

Thanks for any input, H V

There are a few 32 Sunsation singles. Personally 1800hp into a single engine boat is way overkill and a death trap IMO.

a jet drive... I cant see a prop big enough to take advantage of 1800 hp working on a single vee without put it on its side the first time you hit the gas....

A big Velocity with a splitter gear box into two big outdrives. I know Velocity has done some bigger singles. I also know that a ski boat was built with a splitter (not sure on the correct term) to put one big single into two outdrives.

Thanks for the 3 responses!! That was faster than I thought it would be.

Is anyone running big HP in a cat around 30' or so?

Check300 is running a 30ft Checkmate, a single with HP in that nieghborhood. Runs a #6 drive set quite deep. The boat handles well.
