Thunder boats (active thunder when in ill.)have been around a long time and build quality boats. If I could afford it, I would buy one just to have a 55+ footer cc. Thats like 3 flats boats end to end

Is this Scotty.. or Jim Darr..:grinser010:

Maybe this could be your next boat, but only a cummins could pull it, right.

With the weight of the boat, gooseneck trailer and other stuff being 20,000+ a Dodge 4500-5500 could certainly pull it, but with looks in mind I would probly get an F650. And yes it would have a Cummins. :D

I have to agree....... I pulled a 20,000 lb excavator on a big ass gooseneck across the causeway one night in a one ton.... Can't beat a cummins.

After Katrina, 10 was blown doan and they diverted "heavy" traffic through Hammond... couldn't wait. Probably a good thing I didn't get caught!! HAHAHAHa

Just to clarify history, Active Thunder is not Thunder Powerboats built in Il. Thunder Powerboats was 1989-1993.

Active Thunder Boats is a trademarked name that I have owned from 1994 until today. We have built approx. 200+ boats since inception.

I bought the molds from the investor/ owner of them since the company was in arears of their commitment to repay.

The hull molds and decks I bought have since been replaced and are gone.

And there is your history lesson for today!
