What spares/tools do you carry onboard

I think I asked this last year, but please refresh my memory. List in order of your priority if you can.

thanks,

Mark

Pretty much what Troutly listed. I bought one of those "all in one" tool boxes from West Marine and figured it was better than nothing in the event of needing a tool.

I also carry a nice big chunk of wood to aide in removing a prop in case I need to change one out on the water ;)

Good list Troutly. I added just a few things to that list.

Set of spark plugs
Longest plug wire
Coil wire
Dist. cap and rotor
Thrust washer, prop nut, and locking tab
Flash light
Misc. stainless hardware
Zip-ties

...And with all the extra tools and parts I'm still broke...ONE EXTRA BEER!!

spares/tools

The lists above are great. I also carry crimp terminals, 25-30 ft # 12 stranded wire, and a few other things. I carry my tools in a 50 caliber ammo box so they stay totally free of moisture. I carry spare fuel filters, voltage testers, spare lamps for every light and assorted nuts and bolts in a box similar to a fishing tackle box with some tabs removed for large items.

I carry boat registration and first aid in another ammo box.

It seems I carry more "stuff" every year. I often travel 200 miles or more from home port so I carry more than some boaters need.

A screwdriver and a cloth hanger, when you run CLE'S you never know when one will become clogged!!

Carrying all the stuff Troutly takes along will drop top speed by at least 1 or 2MPH. What are you thinking?:D

The portaable battery jumper is a great item for on board. Came in handy once last year.
