bigger volume blowers with same boost means more air and less heat. less heat means denser air. denser air means more horsepower. atleast that's what i learned from high school physics....:coolcowboy: :bong:

Steve Morris is making the same power on pump gas with an F3-R Pro-Charger, 2300hp with C-16...
Badass for sure...

Dustin,
Impressive package, and also impressive for any engine that spins 7500 rpm.

However when comparing to turbo's and the power they are also capable of making from start to finish in the full rpm range............

Wouldn't reliability also be highly favored?
Just not sure how appealing maintaining a 7500 rpm rotating assembly is even for your go fast guys at the upper end of the food chain?
As we all know the faster you spin, the quicker its breaking down.

Turbo's will give you big power, acceleration, and reliability, and
also a lot more favorable rpm range.

Anyways just my thoughts, good luck with you continued development.
after all that's what makes better products.

Jon

Peak HP was at 7300rpm, rev limit 7400rpm. While yes, this is high for a standard pleasure boat, this is just to show the potential of the SC's with only 15psi of boost. It could clearly go to 18psi and 6500rpm and make 1850hp. Or 2000hp at 7300rpm.

This is also not the our biggest intercooler setup, which at this level, adds almost 75hp. This also did not have our new bigger throttle bodies. So this was not done to go 500 hours, and believe it or not, I do know what it takes to maintain a 7300rpm.

Start a different thread if you want a twin screw vs turbo debate.

Is that the 3/4 race cam that everyone talks about that was the chit back in the 70's. Is it a RV grind?:drink:

RV grind with special assembly lube :coolcowboy:

Very, very impressive.

However, I'd be willing to bet the engines would make significantly more power with twin turbos, all things being equal. A couple of 78mm turbos would probably be a good start...

Again, very nice work! :)
