I cant ebelieve you dont see ,ore Turbo set ups on boats yet. I think the OLD draw thru set ups of the 70's and 80's scared allot of boaters away.

You cant beat a turbo at the drag strip. Trust me I know I race turbo cars and sell turbos and turbos related parts.

I have a freind with twin 88's on a 355 CID street car that can click off 7 second passes all day long with his 5ft girl freind driving the car. He drives it to and from the track in albany to LVD its rediculous. MY car runs 9.70s at 145 on 11 psi with a 2 bolt block, cast crank, cast iron unported smog heads, and a T88.

It has been together for 4 years now.

I was not trying to slam you. Just pointing out a few differences in the way these engines are run. I like the idea of big centrifical blowers on offshore engines. A guy on here by the name of Tomcat had a pair of them feeding a big intercooler on a dyno at Sterling make about 1800 hp. Wonder what ever happened to him?

Is that why people are taking PSI's off and replacing them with turbos.. Try making that statement to Brad Personett. Even the one on in my Avatar is being removed as we speak and getting turbos ready for the Supernationals in Vegas..

I cant imagine anyone taking off a psi to run a turbo
Brad runs good, thats for sure, but lets see him run Frankie Taylor, Jason Scruggs or I'd even put money on my car against him 1/8 mile.

I'm sure you know the best turbo 1/4 mile run is over a tenth slower than the fastest 1/4 mile psi run.

I agree, in 1/8 mile it's tough to argue with the PSI. We leave the start line at almost 60lbs boost. The guys you mentioned have definitely got their chit sorted out!
