Boat/muscle car owners?

Any of you folks got a muscle car sitting in the garage too? Ours is a 1970 Z-28.

70 Challenger T/A

I have a fully restored 70 Challengr T/A 340 six pack, Plum Crazy, Auto. One of 2200 made (1 year only) and it's for sale. Only drove it twice last year. Guess it's time to redo the 86 camero I have

Pure Energy 05-09-2002 01:30 PM

My 1st car was a '79 Z28. I loved that car. 350 4 barrel, with cam & manifold change, headers, 4 speed w/Hurst shifter. Real head turner. I loved to go under an over pass and chirp 2nd:cool: Its been long gone and I miss it. To make up for it I took the muffler off my '99 F-350 PSD. It is loud but just doesn't sound the same:(

68 Vette convertible.

'02 Z06 Vette is the current ride: that is, when the wife lets me have it back!

Katdrvr 05-09-2002 01:45 PM

69 Vette Roadster, 350/350
Drove it for the first time yesterday in the last three years. Still drives like a farm tractor.

Jayl13 05-09-2002 01:59 PM

totally worked to the balls 98 Ram air trans am
cam, torque converter, headers, borla cat back, race removable cats, just about every bolt on you can get.
Runs high 11's on drag radials no nitrous and 2.73:1 gears
gotta love the all aluminum LS1 engines.

Sad day when they are done production - 3-4 months and all camaros and firebirds are done forever (until they come out with some gay front wheel drive version of the F body in a few years)

Vyper340 05-09-2002 02:17 PM

Does a '02 M3 qualify as a muscle car? It will smoke most anything since it does 0-60 mph in 4.8s and 1/4 mile in 13.1s. I think that qualifies.

Jayl13 05-09-2002 02:28 PM

Personally the M3 is a kick ass ride but i would NOT go as far as to say it will smoke almost anything
Slowly ready what is listed up here,
Most of these cars from Gm and Ford were underrated in HP for insurance to their customers
Most of these cars with some work will easily on crappiest of crappy tires run 12's let alone some running 11's and 10's
(someone building a 600 HP for their car a few lines above?)

No matter what you have, tons of people always have something nicer, faster and more impressive

Love the M3 dont get me wrong but careful about that smoke almost anyone statement

and NEVER be embarassed to say you have an M3 man,
like I said before , it is a KICK ASS RIDE
enjoy
Jason

1995 Mustang Cobra...

351 bored out to a 396 with a Novi-2000 Supercharger pushing 20lbs of boost..... 1023hp at the flywheel and 867hp at the rear wheels.... Runs a 10.51 at 141mph in the quarter and that is on drag radials.... It has the best of everything, $15,000 custom Baer brakes.... heck it was even painted by Grafik-Efx in Miami,FL

Payton 05-09-2002 02:42 PM

Does a 1946 CJ2A count?:) It does have a 1969 ho 302 in it. That old huricane flat head4 just didn't jump high enough over the stumps.;)

and Linda's 94 admiral blue Vette.

Ike 05-09-2002 02:57 PM

I wanted something different so it is a BIG 73 impala street/race 461 bbc 13.1comp T400 reverse valve body, 9in rear, 250 horse nos, all steel and all interior still there, has run best of 11.77 @119mph on street tires. Just rebuilt engine and did ALOT of head work and going to change the gears, hoping for high 10's and will still sleep 6 in the trunk.:D

Hot Boat 05-09-2002 03:21 PM

72 Corvette. all original unrestored with lots of options. 70k miles.

The wife drives a 93 firebird with a LT1. with headers, no cats, chip, pulleys, K&N air induction , shift kit and a 10 speaker stereo that's so loud you can here her miles away...... It keeps here happy racing all the jap cars on the street. If I get to drive it once a week its a lot.

In the past we had a 68 Camaro. ( NHRA national record holder, fastest car in F stock) 76 MG midget ( funnest car we ever owned) 81 Z28 425 hp 4 speed ( great street car) all were in show condition. I got bored with the cars and moved on to boats.

Hot Boat 05-09-2002 03:26 PM

Ike I had a 74 Impala convertible. Talk about a big ass car. it was twice the length as the MG Midget. It must take a lot of HP to get that car in the 10's

HydroScream 05-09-2002 03:29 PM

We need pics!! :D :D

sounds like some nice rides guys ;)

NASTY HABIT 05-09-2002 03:33 PM

Got a 69 Imp 2 door sitting back there too... guess I inherited it from a not so eager to restore friend...it had all the Hydro crap on it at one time and must have been quite the Pimp Daddy ride..it is a HUGE car..... cool though
