Question 98 Baja 29 Outlaw?

Found one for sale, can be had for $50000. SST package, has 310HP 454's and 200 hours. What should I look for as problem areas?

Sounds like a steal. There were some issues with the stringers cracking near the engine mounts on some models up til the year 2000. Post your questions in the Baja forum, alot of knowledgable guys there.

Ya, that's about it. Aside the the usual wear and tear and abuse items to look for, make sure you get the stringers checked out on any pre mid-2000(build date) 29 outlaw.

I just mailed eyezlee some pictures I had got from John C. awhile back. Are these the same pictures you have?

EYE,

I was going to email you the pictures as you requested until I saw that you got them from Dave. If the pictures he sent you are the ones I sent him then they would have been the ones that I sent you - you got all that???

The boat in question is a 1998 with lots of teal graphics - is that what Dave sent?

Glad we could help. If you get a chance to look at a 2000 or later 29 Outlaw, you will see that the area in question was re-designed and looks very robust.
