33 Powerplay, born again!

4 Attachment(s)
I had the pleasure of working with Mindi and Mac at Doller Offshore in bringing a 33 Powerplay back to new!

Of course my end was just the paint and body. The Doller crew did the rest.

Doller Offshore 10-21-2010 03:38 PM

Sorry, This one is not for sale, the owner LOVES this boat, which is why he decided to re-power and completely refit rather than looking for something new!

Dash

3 Attachment(s)
The owner wanted the dash to be easier to view, so we redesigned the layout, used a larger GPS, changed to Livorsi Vantage View System gauges, and added a drive and tab indicator.

LAriverratt 10-21-2010 03:44 PM

what power and drives is he putting in???

I'm going to venture to guess Triple O/B's.

Nice project. Cool.

I can't believe how a boat like this can fall into such a state of disrepair and neglect. Anxious to see more progress.

LAriverratt 10-21-2010 03:57 PM

there's the oil reservoirs right there in the pics so it's an outboard boat for sure:lolhit: didn't look all that hard did I:grinser010:

ktron 10-21-2010 04:02 PM

Cool boat! What type of OB's are going on?

No transom assembly holes in the transom and stains from the outboard bracket are a dead giveaway too.

No wonder it looks like new.

Mindy & her crew are top notch also.

dkwestern 10-21-2010 07:11 PM

It is an i/o boat with outboards. Transom must have been filled in. It is not a std outboard boat.

Good catch. I just saw the three throttles and shifters, and thought there's no way in hell someone's shoehorning triple I/O's in that thing. :drink:

Exactly looks like a SS that was converted ,The Outboard Sport Deck had a huge cockpit and a small hatch for rigging across the stern ,Danny would never build something like this!

Here a SS on the left and a SD on the right.

LAriverratt 10-22-2010 01:31 PM

I see the difference in the two in the pics but it sure looks like the original pics of this boat it's a SS converted to outboards...looks to be alot of sun pad space and room in the bilge for those reservoirs.

The engine bay was converted to a 'trunk' for their junk.

The guy had his own ideas of what he wanted. One thing in particular was to angle the center gauges so the driver could see them. So that was part of the project.
