Black Thunder - Just my opinion
#71
I like the BTs but not with Bravos. Great helm design too. I would like to see an EC with trips which would mean at least a 2' transom extension. I don't see a problem with a bow thruster on a performance boat this big. What difference does it make how it looks?? They make it much easier to dock. Doesn't Nor-Tech offer them on their 50?
I had them on one of my NT 43's.. they really help when its windy, or the tide is rolling in.. with tall sides the boat acts like a sail...

Sometimes reading "typing" is hard to comprehend the text. I was simply saying I have never personally seen one and curious what it looked like. Was not saying that I don't believe you that there are boats out there with thrusters. Anyone have a pic of a bow thruster on and performance boat?

Nothing strange about posting this
As far as Dennis (guy you worked with at BT) He was a nice guy (i had many dealings with him) but he was not really a boat guy He was an out of work stock broker when he went to work in sales, then sales management for BT He is a nice guy but not really a boat sales manager type If you notice he is no longer involved and has not been for many years
End of story BT was a great boat I hope someone picks up the line and gets it back out there

Here are you 3 pics of the bowthruster on my old 460EC. The bowthruster size for performance boats is much smaller than a large cruiser size would be. The bowthruster was a must in the strong winds that can occur around the docks on the Gulf Coast.

Thanks a lot for posting the pics. That doesn't look bad at all on the hull. Your boat is great looking.

Sold it to a guy on LOTO recently (if you're talking about my post with the bwothruster pics). I just have a lot of pics of the boat over the years and am able to provide a lot of information from owning it. T
