Not sure the point of this thread.
Original title was by "brand"; and then shifted to "specific boats." Oh well, I tried to illustrate my point the best I could, using the cloudy parameters we were given :readinghelp::drink: |

What is the fastest OL pleasure boat (other than XXX)?
The fastest Nortech V and Nortech Cat will be intertesting to see what is the fastest.. |
I have been asking this for years (and wish Powerboat would wrangle everyone up), a straight up head-to-head with all the manufacturers bringing a STOCK boat, full cabin on the V's and same hp engines (525s w/Bravos or 700 w/ NXTs or whatever, just all the same).
I want to see a shootout 38-42V: 39' Top Gun 38/42 Fountain 39 Outerlimits 38 Donzi Zr 39 Hustler 38-42 anything else and the same thing with the cats: 38-42' |

Virtuallly impossible. Second best thing to do is research each boat online (www.powerboatmag.com) and find each boat as it was tested with said power. Problem you'll run into again is that since manufacturers bring what THEY want to bring, they very, very rarely bring stock powered boats. Just food for thought. |
Coming Soon
2011 Spectre SC32 - Twin 725 Ilmors/Indy Drives. Top speed on GPS - 146 mph.
I agree - Comparable boat Length and Same Power is the better apple to apple comparison. The all new Frisini 42 Aronoli - Now in Production http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._4245115_n.jpg The all new Spectre SCX43 - Now in Production http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-..._1844463_n.jpg |

No tuning up the ECM and raising the limmiter. That way you know what the boats trully do with Merc 700's. |

I'll assume since there has not been an answer to this question XXX is the fastest Vee hull OL ever built, which is obvious, but the fastest pleasure boat other than XXX will remain a mystery....
