Bottom line: There USED to be a format for deciding this topic. It was called Factory 1 and Factory II racing. That went by the wayside because folks couldn't play fair.

Now it's pretty much a mute point. Whoever has the tallest wallet goes the fastest, until someone else get's a bigger wallet.
man how true, factory class was it.now its the wallet.

I agree. STOCK boats with identical power to show how efficient the hull is.

I think the end of factory class began the latest decline of offshore racing.

How about factory offered boats off the show room floor

Fastest boats for the buck (stock) for the people who are upgrading from the old slow boats for poker runs mabe starting with the 496 ci turn key stuff for the smaller wallet folks

Just for fun we ran at the Monster Bash Poker run. I was there running 2 different boats. I ran the mile long shootout in a Conquest deck boat with a Pfaff motor on race gas, with X Power Drives. With that boat we ran 130.5, so that wasn't bad and that made it the fastest deckboat ever recorded. (kind of cool) Then the next day we ran the poker run with a 32 Spectre cat with twin 1220 hp motors built by Pfaff on pump gas. These motors run up to 7000 rpm at 8.5 lbs of boost. With this boat we ran 171 mph with two people, and 168.9 with 5 people fully loaded. In both cases it seemed it was still accelerating. This boat has X Power Drives, and the boat itself weighs more than others because it has an enormous stereo, and generator on board with 5 batteries, and a ton of amplifiers. I would insert some pictures to show the speedos, boat, etc. but I don't know how. What I can do is put in a link to youtube and it shows the motors on the dyno, then it shows the boat in detail at the end.

This is just for reference for the speed library.
