Default RPM does it again! - Wow!!

Steve Tripp of RPM just sent me this video of his latest creation!

114+ mph with just 680 horsepower from a naturally aspirated 565!

What an awsome looking boat!

Enjoy,

Chris

Nice. Looks dialed in. Good gentle break in routine, drive at wot until your eyes water so bad you can't see to drive anymore. They are doing a good job.

That boat has run 116mph with that power according to their facebook page. Moving along pretty good IMO.

He told me it has run 116mph also... He just didn't get that run on video. 114-116 mph from 680 hp is amazing!

He didn't slow down because he couldn't see. He slowed down to turn the boat. You don't turn a 26' lake boat at 115mph.

The RPM cats have hardly any air in your eyes at speed. You can hold a normal voice level conversation with the co-pilot at over 100 mph. A lot of the design of the boat, and the angle and height of the winshield, were done in a wind tunnel.

Cat was a joke, btw, who the he// thinks you would turn that hard at speed. I talked to one of the RPM guys at the Lake Cumberland Poker Run last year. Good people. Initial impression of the boat is high quality. Performance speaks for itself. Any plans for bigger boats?

anyone know the weight of those cats. 115 on that power is amazing.
My Daytona might go that fast with a 5 mile an hour tail wind and a slight down hill lake with 200 plus more HP than they are running.
