Actually, the boat really was in fantastic shape when I got it. It was by far the nicest boat that I looked at in terms of the overall condition, much nicer than even some 3 and 4 year old boats that I looked at. For some reason when this boat was listed it was filthy in the pics that they used, and that must have turned a lot of people off. In real life it was just a nice, clean, unmolested, original boat with low hours that was well cared for.
After I bought the boat I spent about 4 weeks detailing it, and it came out like brand new! In fact I ran it for a season as is, and just about everyone I knew tried to talk me out of the upgrades because the boat looked so good just like it was.
Probably a good thing I didn't know it was really in good shape compared to the pics:D Its a '97 right?????
It looks fantastic now for sure and if it looks that good in pics, it must be even better in person.

BTW, I saw Gold Rush at the 2009 Miami show. Incredible! Let me know when you have a few extra seats and I will bring the crew.
Maybe you should ask the owner of Gold Rush if you want a ride, although I think xconn92 posted elsewhere he's considering buying a boat in the future.
