Seen that boat at one of the MOCA Poker Runs that stop at the Windsor Yacht Club in the late 1990's or early 2000.
Remember reading about his record breaking run, the dawn of the new age of Turbine powered Cats with surface drives.

When I saw the subject line of this thread I was going to link to the story I did on it for Powerboatmag.com ... but there it was already. Thanks, Jajo.
Howard Arneson is more than an innovator and a modern-day adventurer. He is one of the nicest, most engaging and simply down to earth people you will never meet. In our world, he's something of a treasure.
Howard Arneson is authentic.

Hat's off to all the participants, an awesome challenge and test of endurance. Congrats to Mr Arnesonon his victory, not many races cover that much water, very impressive.
I always thought of making a trip up the river just never trusted putting any boat I owned in the Miss.

I just love these stories a true icon in the marine industry, look at all the performance increases his drives have enabled in all kinds of boats big and small, the Magnums, SunSeekers, military craft - a great mind!
