Have you guys ever seent his site? Its kinda cool. A friend of mine just bought a system for their please boat that all commercial boat have. This system is touch screen and they can see every commercial vessel and if they are on anchor, moving and which direction as well as how fast.
goto the site and click on a region then first hover over a boat. Then click on it to get even more detailed info and even photos. She said they have even started to take their own photos and upload them to that particular vessel.
Seems pretty slick

I just found that yesterday. It works off of a system called AIS (automatic Identification System) and works on VHF radio frequency. you can input vessel dimensions, destination, ETA, POB, speed, course, draft, ect.
the website is Helpful to pilots, agents, shipping suppliers, pretty much anyone in logistics.
We use it onboard to see who is who, and help in contacting other boats.
Search Q4000, that is my current boat. Yes it is a boat. we can do 10 knots ballasted up to transit draft of 8m. and ballast down to work at 15m
