Keep Cleveland Construction in Your Prayers

I am not sure why it hasn't seem to have been posted here on OSO, if it is I couldn't find it...

Apparently Cleveland Construction collided with the Shogren Fountain aka (Global Warmer).

Sean is out of the hospital and Ed is still in for observation overnight...

Keep them in your thoughts.

I haven't heard anything regarding the other team, so I assume they are ok.

The Talon has a major hole in the port side..

Sorry sight to see for sure being as Ed spent all last winter redoing that whole boat... :(

SkaterMike82 11-14-2010 10:16 PM

In my prayers.....have a speedy recovery.....

was this the race that was aired today on vs?

TeamShogren.com 11-14-2010 10:46 PM

All is good and we are fine. It is our understanding that the race member in the other boat is fine but had some water in his lungs and will be out of hosp in am.

Regards,

Team Shogren

I did make reference to this incident and the crew condition, in my DAY#3, RACE#2 report, a few minutes after the race,
in the SBI race section, but not in the general section. Tim, thanks for the follow up in the general section.

Jay,

As previously posted by Ron, that picture of the boat up side down, and the orange smoke is very chilling. It does remind us,
that this can be very dangerous. In situations like this, we rely on our experience, safety systems, safety training,
our fellow racers, and the safety net that SBI provides.

I have been in races then things like this happen, and if you do not need to stop and offer assistance (safety/rescue teams
already there), it gets real solemn in the cockpit, as you go by.

Sorry for missing your post. :(
While traveling back from the races yesterday I got a call from Key West and was informed.
I checked real quick here and didn't see anything for our OPA guys... I tried calling Julie today but I must have missed her with their Winter Hours and all...

I am keeping them in my thoughts...

BobbyB 11-15-2010 06:14 PM

Get well guys.

That would be funny if it was not so true.
Good luck to all, and get well soon.

Ditto. Reminds me that I have the sequence from last year's spin.
Might be a good time to publish it. :evilb:

this year turned into a little more than a spin.
