Assuming the rest of the boat is crap - and it may not be - the ASD's are the toughest link in that chain. Again assuming there were a problem with one, and assuming Rik was off galavanting around the country winning races, I would bet that you can get most of the parts locally. They aren't made from the unobtainuium parts mercs are made of. A far simpler drive that eats fewer HP and doesn't break under ordinary circumstances...

my point earlier was also considering opportunity costs...like the time it would take to rebuild both the motors. the blocks might not be rebuildable. who knows how many salt water hours are on them, if they're salt water, how it was maintained, etc.
