Miami Boat Show
#2
I stay at the Winterhaven. It is a restored Deco hotel on the North end of Ocean Dr. Only a 15 minute walk to the convention center, its on Ocean Drive and only a couple blocks North of the bars and mayhem. Some rooms are small but very clean and the lobby has a cool little Martini Bar. There is a big veranda for having cocktails or comp. breakfast in the morning. This years rates are $300/night with a 3 night min.

I've always stayed at the Biscayne Bay Marriott. While it may be a little pricey, the convenience of it out-weighs the cost. Nice views from the higher floors, decent resturant on-site with a couple of others within the premises, the in-water portion of the show (performance boats) is right outside the door and there is a shuttle that will take you right to the convention center. Traffic and parking sucks around the convention center so I've found it easier to just take the shuttle from the hotel.
Good Luck!

That PR is one of the best. I hope to be participating again this year.

I'm gonna do my best...it would be fun to run the Glads down together. I've always done the Thu. run...that way you get to watch the big boys show up on Fri. and the extra day in the Keys isn't bad, especially if you've done the boat show and been in Miami for a week.
