Boats vs. Planes
#1
I never thought I'd enjoy a past time as much as I do boating. However, started flying less then a year ago and I'd have to say I'm pretty much addicted. Got my private, then complex gear rating, and now finishing up my IFR rating. Went to texas yesterday and bougtht a plane. It cruises at 270mph and can fly at 25,000 feet.
If anyone has thought about getting there pilots license I'm here to say, do it. I'll still boat but my no. one hobby has now become aviation.
Update:
Check out page 9.
25,000 feet flight at 400mph GS

Thanks guys,
Plane was designed by lancair then perfected by columbia and now has been bought out by cessna.
It's the fastest fixed gear single made. Its carbon fiber/fiberglass. 310hp twin turbo charged continental engine. Has G 1000 avionics, synthetic vision, WASS, TKS (for ice), built in oxygen. Very fast but not meant to haul many people. Ohio to florida in under 4 hours. Ohio to cuba on one tank of fuel.
