Powerboat, F&P, Hotboat, Poker Runs America

One thing i wondered, two or more of the magazines do an article on the same exact boat (year, model etc.) but yet the info is different. Speed(understandable) but Base Retail, Standard Options etc. Just made me say hummm?

Powerboat (like the Bob Teague tech column)
Hot Boat (good stern drive tech by Tyler Crockett)
Poker Runs America

Hot Boat and Poker Runs America tie (awesome T shirt when subscribing to Hot Boat.

Also good reading: Teague Perf catalog, Keith Eickerdt catalog.

R/T...I thought YOU were Mr. Rickey!!!

About the only one I can stand is Poker Runs of America.

The others just bore me with the rah, rah, kiss the manufacturers butt B.S. Plus the last PowerBoat I picked up I had to flip through a mini-Fountain magazine advertisement to get to something worth reading.

Powerboat
Poker Runs America
Powerboat Reports (good gear reviews, but rarely, if ever, test performance boats)

I look at most of the others and buy them on an issue-by-issue basis if there's something in there I really want to read.
Yeah, Vapor Trails was fun - if you could stand the same caption under every picture! I also enjoyed US Offshore's "Offshore Racing Magazine".
