let me get this straight, it was advertised for $425, some other guy offered to pay $500 but never paid and you were told the new price is $500? Not something I would ever do, guess I am too nice of a guy.

I feel the frist person to make contact wins!!!! If there is a number people should call it frist. I always leave a number and people still leave me a pm or email. But I like to talk to someone on the other side of the phone. You get a better feel for the person that way just my 2cents.

Well, he responded to his ad. Not the response I was expecting. Oh well, maybe we learned something today.

Just curious how often do people offer more than the asking price in the swap shop? I don't spend that much time in there in less I am selling something.

This is the first time I've seen this happen. That's what made it so interesting. Guess it was RBR's lucky day, congrats!

WOW, I just read the thread and thought you were asking about who gets first dibs. I always get my PM's before I ever get to check a thread if I have something for sale. I then see what time I received the PM vs when someone posted on the thread. Then who has the full or best offer. I did not know that this turned into a bait and switched price.

I was also told to call him at 10 to pay, he wasnt able to take a payment untill the morning. I called him and he told me his phone was ringing all night and had to even shut his phone off because of all the calls. So i figured great, he shut his phone off because it was sold to me. But then he says somebody offered him more $$. Some people just have no class, if he needs the extra 75$ that bad he can have it. As far selling things to cheap goes your the one making up the price so you should know what its worth. Besides were talking 75.00$ not 75,000$. He a penny pincher, if he wanted an auction on the guages he should have went to ebay or posted AUCTION!!!
