Video: DCB F32 + Teague 1335 EFI's = 177 MPH!
We took our latest big power project to Havasu for some high speed testing. The results were 177 MPH after two test sessions in varying conditions. Our top speed makes this F32 with Teague Custom Marine 1335EFI's the fastest DCB EVER BUILT!
The Details: Boat: 2008 DCB F32 Engines: TCM 1335EFI's (7000RPM redline, less additional intercooler, due to height restrictions) Drives: Mercury SSM VI 1.35:1 Props: Mercury Pro Finish 16.5x40 Location: Lake Havasu, AZ Date: 12/28-29/2010 Driver: Bob Teague Installation: John Teague Owner: Don London Enjoy the video! 177 mph
Thanks John for that morning wake up video. It was just a short time ago speeds like that were not possible in a pleasure boat. I wish the weather was like that here, I would be on the lake instead of slipping in the first Atlanta white Christmas snow since the 1800's.

Fantastic !!!
|
Awesome! What if a motor lets go at 6500 RPM and 170 MPH? That cant be good!!!! :party-smiley-004:

That run was on the edge. But Bob is used to that. |
SWEET! Thanks for posting.

Holy Smokes ..................... Can't even imagine what that was like ............................. Thanks for sharing, Great Setup :Score-101010:

That was neat to watch, the 1335 HP Teague engine ran flawlessly and the DCB F32 handled the speed well. I was wondering if DCB ever thought about putting one of their boats on the race circuit to see how it does under race conditions. Would be interesting to see.

Way friggin cool!!!!!!!!!!!:eekdrop:

i dont think these boat's are made for racing to much rough water . maybe there 35 could work , if i remember rite that boat has no center pod |
Cool Video thanks for sharing.

Very, very impressive!
I'm really curious... Who will insure a 32' cat (with a pod no less) to 180 mph, and what does that policy cost per year? |

WOW!!! I'm at "pucker-factor 10" just doing 70. At 170 I'd be Sh***ing diamonds!!
|
Are those the water pressure guages flipping all over at top speed?

That 1350 Merc boat doesn't look so impressive anymore does it. wonder waht the difference between the 31WB and the 32 are
|
Bob and John-nice video.I personally liked the water on monday but the boat looked rock solid. What is even more amazing is that it is on 91 octane pump gas.

2 DCB boats in 2 weeks running over 170 is pretty darn impressive. |
Fast Cat Insurance !
I can write a policy for these boats with a top speed of 160 mph with a licensed, admitted, and A rated US carrier at reasonable rates.I can access some non admitted surplus lines carriers for the higher speeds but I chose not to based on my past experiences with these types of companies.
|
There are a few that will write up to 160 mph. Big difference between 160 and 180 too. There are very, very few that will 'choose' to write a 180 mph boat. If you do find someone, you better be squeaky clean, have one hell of a history and every license known to man, and a chit-load of cash to throw towards insurance every year! :D
|
Very Impressive all around!! Congrats to the owner, DCB, and TCM......
|
Very Nice ! has to be one hell of a ride!

Go look at the video again of the Merc 1350 boat the speedo cannot spin fast enough to keep up with the acceleration. Granted this boat is fast but the Merc 1350 is on a whole other level of performance...more like monster fassst. Great video nevertheless! KAP |
Very impressive !!! Great video too.. by the gps it looked to still be accelerating pretty hard well above 160+..
Beautiful boat as well !!! |
Ahhh Winter On The River
|
Nice lake boat :)
|

It was just a little bump in the wheel and we lost speed I looked down at the gauges and the starboard motor was down .....no big deal to my suprise. P.S. this has happened twice at over 120mph |
Wow!
|
Awesome Run. Congrats to all concerned!
