There were a few other "Mikes in the offshore racing circles, and a couple of other "Mikes" in the fire department I worked for. At some point I became "Gordo". The name stuck.
To this day, if someone said "Mike" I may not know if you're referring to me or not. But I can be a thousand miles from home, riding on the deck of a raceboat in a parade and hear someone yell Hey Gordo! there's no doubt, somebody knows me. :)

Perlmudder came from about grade 8 when I decided I was going to be a rapper. Seemed like a good career choice. My last name is Perlstein and alot of my friends call me Jperl so I took part of that, and thought about how rappers well, rap, and I came up with mutter. But that didn't sound right so i changed it to mudder. Then whamo! Perlmudder was born. The name sort of went under for a couple years until I told one of my sisters boyfriends about it, and he started calling me it. From then on, it just sort of stuck.

RoBERT, friends in HS called me bert, 4332 was my first briefcase code I used in college.
