All NY waterways have a 90db limit. Some areas enforce the law and some don't. Lake Champlain is pro performance boats in my opinion.

I don't know of another Northeastern lake that has as much freedom as Champlain. You can be out on a beautiful summer weekend day, and see far fewer boats than you would on a pond. There's also far less places to go out by boat (meaning restaurants and such), especially on the Vermont side.

But the huge reward for that is some pretty pristine boating.

Buddy of mine passed a hot tub, in the broad lake, between the mouth of the Chazy and Rouses Point the other day! It's going to be a short season!
