it is, thats what sold us on it!

I'm thinking a turtle run for a late lunch today if anyone is around...anyone know if the dock is in where clare and carls used to be?

penbroke 06-19-2011 07:32 PM

Who has the Donzi Blackhawk in Shelburne?

Frank

Slinky 06-19-2011 07:38 PM

Chris has a 35zx (something like that). Not sure if that's the donzi u mean. We got out on the scarab today and love it. Quick trio to the turtle for lunch, a stop at point au Roche to see Mapes and it ran flawlessly! Handles and rights soooooooo much better than our old boat.

Slinky 06-20-2011 07:19 AM

one more thing..i did see one log floating...but that was it and it had a big piece that was visual from a ways away sticking out of the water. I'm sure there are probably things under the surface but there seems to be a bit more traffic on the lake and it will hopefully clear things up more.

GLH 06-21-2011 07:11 AM

Hopefully Breakwaters will be running soon instead of floating!!!!

Cruised around the bay tonight with the family. The ramp and the lake are ready for some noise.Nice night for dinner on the boat.Watched Travis Lavallee and the crew wheely across the Sandbar bridge on bikes.

VtSteve 06-21-2011 09:03 PM

I would imagine lots of clearance under the SB bridge now. Usually my boat can't make it, unless I want to do impeller changes. Did you go under it?

VT32SSR 06-22-2011 05:46 AM

We stayed on the on the South side last night. The shallows are about 6 feet deep and there is at least 8 feet 0f clearance under the bridge.

jeff32 06-22-2011 05:58 AM

so, season has started on the lake? safe enough?

VT32SSR 06-22-2011 06:05 AM

Hey Jeff,Yes the lake is ready for some boating. We have been out twice and seems to be safe. The water temp is at 70* 0n the surface.Come on down!!!! Tom.

Sunshadow 06-22-2011 09:21 AM

Good to see some boats out. Took a little ride by Thayers on Sunday. Looks like there's just enough beach to get out of the boat. On the way back had to make a hard left to avoid tree roots sticking out of the water, be careful out there.

dieselstrng 06-23-2011 06:42 PM

Hey tom are you still launching the ssr from your driveway or has the water finally come down...heard breakwaters is screwed!

Cooler Guy 06-23-2011 06:50 PM

Anyone know of a place to rent a boat on the lake. Renting a house on Lake Champlain for a week and wanted something to play with. To long of a drive to pull my boat from Cali.

Thanks, Brian AO Coolers

VT32SSR 06-23-2011 07:20 PM

Hi Brian, We have 2 of your coolers in our Sunsation. They have a spot molded in the floor to strap them in.They work great for weekend boating.I wiil look into the boat rental thing for you.We boat out of Burlington all summer. Tom.

First raft shots of the year. Way to start it Robin. Dave and I dropped in this afternoon for the shakedown. He ran strong with just the partial mods. Stayed around Valcour....'twas a bit choppy in the broad and towards the Turtle! How was the bottom and sand at Treadwell?

I don't know........late start this season. Still need to make sure the lake is clean to have a bunch of boats runnin' 'round! Maybe towards August if everything looks good and everyone is game (which I'm sure they will)!

VtSteve 06-30-2011 07:24 PM

Did the shrink wrap today, some polishing, more tomorrow. I told the marina dude I'd appreciate it if he got the blowboater the heck out of my slip. Looks like tomorrow I splash. July 1st, a new late record.
