from Loto to Ill with an oversize load banner, flags, & a strobe light on trailer stopped 3Xs , since then no flags, no signs, NO PROBLEM :drink:

E Dock DD 01-25-2011 09:57 PM

What is silly and stupid is that you are not allowed to pull wide loads on Sunday is some states. Before noon on Sunday is almost always the best time to pull due to the lack of traffic. You also have to love it when you get pulled over and they only ask if you have a permit but do not say anything about not having flagging and oversized signs on a boat that is almost 12 wide. It shows they are not worried about safety, just revenue from the permit.

omerta one 01-25-2011 09:58 PM

From LOTO to Miami and back last year with Little Speed 39 MTI in tow; towed day and night; no signs and never bothered.

Pretty interesting thread for a newbie like me :) Great pics too.

Length can also be a reason to need a permit, but unless you are as long as the wind turbine blades it is not quite as noticeable.

Once again, after we got through the initial chest thumping, crotch grabbing, and wall pissing, this turned out to be an interesting and informative thread

Not a fan of the paint on Zuperman, but still looks great on GD's old trailer/rig setup...

I wondered what happened to the GD rig, sounds like it was repainted for Zuperman?

I dont think it was GD, it was another 50 that became Zuperman. That rig is insane though

Think we need to change the title of this thread to "You know your baller when....." :drink:

The trailer that is used for Predator is built by Lugo. It is completely covered on the bottom of the trailer, so nothing gets through. Sometimes on long trips, the bottom side will be covered, but it peels off easy as soon as we get there. The scoops are always plugged.

Thanku FlatDeck.... I thought it was a good question too... Wow this thread sure got alot of views.... LOL:drink:

Sure did. There's not a sweeter towing rig, than a decked out Pete in my opinion

We might as well have some pics of it while we're at it:

Haha aren't you right!! I'll speak on behalf of Tyson for this one. Joplin to Miami and the Key West to Joplin was not a problem!! I was worried I was going to have to bail Ty out of jail but I guess we just got lucky! The American Flag kinda helps, too. Jim definitely had the right idea for Freedom paint!!

Tilt Trailer Vid...

Pretty good vid of how Lugo MFG. tilt trailer works...

I beleive Predator rides around on one of these and from the looks of there home page Bob Russells 50 OL Outlaw does too...

Can they be launched off a tilt trailer?
It seems like Nashville Cats had a trailer that slid backward for shallow ramps.
