I am thinking about upgrading my 500EFI motors. I am in Missouri. Never heard of some of the other builders mentioned here. My buddy had Ateco do some work. Seems happy with his motor. I will call.

He does All engines including marine,,he does all my custom chevy maching on the boats i work on including mine which is over 10 yrs old and on any given day i spin my motor just north of 6k and it s still lives:drink:

Mr. wirsboguy - What's going on? On Jan 31 2001 you ask for help
locating an engine builder in the IL/WI border area. However on
Nov 9 2009 you defend Ateco from an apparent cyber bully and
tout Bill's skills. Then three times on Jan 30 2009 in two different
threads from 2004 and 2006 you tout and rave about rotating
assemblies and a purchase of one said assembly from Ateco. Who
do you work for? Are you just phishing for business? Are you a
shill for someone's business? There is nothing wrong with telling
someone who your favorite engine builder is when THEY ask.
Mark "KAAMA" does it all the time for his man in Michigan but he
does it the right way. When someone asks for a builder's name and
an opinion of his work Mark will give it. No fake threads. No fake
screen names.

When I saw your engine builder plea thread last week I started to
gather all my notes that I had amassed the past few years in hope
of giving you good info for your engine project. I spent a few hours
gathering all this info for you and when I could not remember the
thread name I searched for your screen name. Guess what came up?
You wasted my time and I am p!ssed off about it. Your actions
diminish the importance of this site and the people who try to help.

Is this Brad affiliated with Ateco? I was thinking of calling Aetco about my Arabian motor from reading posts on this site to see if he would be interested in rebuilding it. Not sure where this is going but good job dbkski.:popcorn:

Were these threads locked in storage, and now reinstated? Seems like they disappeared after dbsksi posted. Was waiting for the response. Seems wisborguy hasn't been back on (under that screen name) since.

He's probably talking about Brad Zastrow who owns a 39MTI with ATECO engines...

Hey back from the penalty box! I don't know who is/was involved but
I just want people to double and triple check everything. From
advice, to references, to price quotes, and everything in between you
need to be vigilant to protect yourselves. If you take advice from
MiniHawk or PokerRun388 you got trouble! :eek:

I find this interesting. I sent a buddy your way this fall and you guys turned down the work. Brad Smith ended up getting his business. Not a small $$ job either. His motors are being dyno'd this week.

It's probably just a fluke 3 user ID's with the same IP address. I'm sure this kind of thing happens all the time. There are only so many numbers ya know.

I have been noticing a trend to see more and more mispelled foul lieing in posts on this site. Very rare on other sites. I understand some people talk that way among friends but I have always thought it is very unprofessional to speak that way in public. Even more so in print. I have some friends with young sons who enjoy powerboating who like to read OSO. They have commented it is getting to the point of not allowing thier sons to view OSO posts any longer.
