I know this is a bit off track. But if you have back issues, sitting down in a boat is the last thing you want to do. (unless you have a nice set of suspension seats. I am speaking from experience. I have had Fusion Surgey twice in the last 4 years..... My spin can barely take a ride sitting in the seat of a cruiser. Every time you come down off a wave it will run right up your spine. However I can run for hours in my Velocity 260, while standing. I have learned to keep my knees flexed (not locked). This allows my legs to take the shock, not the spine. Granted even this way I get sore, but a lot less than sitting......
