Definitely cool, but it would be useless for me since I don't run the Skater, or really any boat at night. Oh well.

Thats pretty cool, i often wondered how that would work. How do your eyes make the transition from looking at the screen to looking ahead into the darkness when you monitor back and forth? Do your eyes adjust quick enough?

Nice set up, but that has been done before and engineered in house here at ol. Had it in Miami show 2010. works very well at speed as well.

Agreed definatly cool! But useless for me too.
We get some long midnight runs down the Mississippi and I am the type of person who would rather trust my eyes with a spot light than looking at a screen.
Maybe an offshore situation I might trust, but not a river.

I designed this one to fit any application and it is adjustable so you can install it on a boat that is transom heavy or one that runs flat. Latham Marine did the fabrication and it is super strong. It will debut to the public at the Miami Boat Show.

Camera blows away what you can see with a spotlight and your eyes. If you ever used one you would be a believer.
That is why they use them for search and rescue.

Are you able to adjust the range of temperature you are viewing, I use a Fluke TI55 at work, I think it is a great concept but in the range of temps are too broad I would be afraid that things with similar temps wont be recognizable.
