Offshore Party for North Pinellas County???
 

Anybody interested in getting a party together for northern Pinellas county??? Probably at the Sand Bar or 3 Rookers?

I live on the intercoastal in Redington Shores...

I might be interested if I get the boat fixed. I'm going to pull one of the motors this week

Also, I don't get up that way all too often. Where is this "Sandbar" you mentioned...I must know of at least a dozen "sandbars."

Same F**king thing was taking place down our way at Shell Key...

Luckily a compromise was reached and a small portion was dedicated to the people, but a large majority of the island chain is now for the birds!!! :mad:

Yes , but ours is now a State Park meaning:
!. No Alcoholic Bev's.
2. No Camp Fires
3. No Overnight Camping.
4. Alcohol is alowed 300' off the beach. (Sounds like a DUI sting to me).
I've been going there since it had (0) vegitation on it, now it has vegitation and they make it a State Park !!! 12 Guage with Bird Shot !!!:D

I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem. I'm kinda sulkin today after hearing the news of the Cig being sold.:(

You're right...that's a lot stricter than I'm used to and worse than Shell. The only thing on that list is the alcohol thing...No alcohol on the island. But, if you're feet are in the water or below the high-tide line, it's okay. There's absolutely no sense in that law...nor does it do any good. Things have not changed at all.

The only thing you see people do now when the sherriff's boat approaches is walk to the water line, make sure your feet are wet and salute the cop with a beer bottle and a smile. Now tell me what good that does! :rolleyes:

What date is this planned for? I have been to Three Rooker fishing in the past, but have never been to the sandbar. I know there is some SHALLOW water on the east side of Anclote.

Cuda - Wanted to see what the turn out would be before we got more involved. Looks pretty good right now but havn't set a date yet. Yes Anclote has a sandbar that stretches around the south east tip, but there's a channel on the iside of the bar. The Sand Bar we are talking about is on the very north end of the island. I'm up for some offshore running!! Lets meet somewhere first like Fever Mike said and get some running time in before we flotilla. I've got several friends that will show depending on the date.

I have a buddy that I'm sure will come too. He is headed up to Destin this weekend to pick up an Outlaw. Good thing, because today I pulled all the carpet and vinyl out of the Formual. I may have to borrow his Scarab to make the trip. Actually I sold a boat this weekend (25 foot aft cabin:( ), and I have an empty trailer I need to fill!:D Maybe I'll find something pretty quick. A guy has a Z25 Donzi in MINT condition he is wanting to sell at a good price. If he ever returns my email, I may go look at it. I am down to only having six boats now, and I'm getting shaky!:eek:

Mike, Just left Steve. The Super V will be up and running. Gary and him are testing on the lake at this moment. Steve was talking about Monday. No, not retail...I'm actually an aerospace engineer working in composites design, analysis and manufacturing(AAR Composites in Clearwater).

Sorry Guys about this weekend, I won't be able to make it. Saturday's looking like a work day for me and Monday(the big day) we'll be busy with a prior obligation. :(

Sunday will be the only chance I'll get to even take to boat out.

BTW, I'm hearing 20-25 knot winds through Monday...
