I'm going with Excide marine batteries so I'll let you know how they hold up. I had Interstate in all my other boats and they worked great.

That's some sound reasoning right there!

How about Optima? Surprised they weren't mentioned yet.

marylandmark 02-22-2011 01:27 PM

Advanced Auto has 25% off Optima's right now.

Order one at a time since they give you 25% off one battery.

D34M = $210 - 25% = $158 with free shipping

I need 4 of them.

If I order all 4, I get $52 off.
If I order 1, 4 times, I get $52 off each one for a total of $208 off.

Looks like dinner is on Advanced Auto tonight for me!

wow, the agm batteries are very expensive, i think i will buy cheap and replace oftern although, i ran the stowaway in the baja for about 4yrs without any problems. I can get them from tsc for about 80 bucks

Interstates, die hards, and all the lead acids are pretty much made by one company as you indicated earlier there are only a few- Johnson controls

You'll find the diff between most standard lead acid brands is a sticker.
