stand up boats pantera 28 or saber28, sit down kryponite 27 or 29. kyponite is faster with same power.

Kryptonite!!!

Like was said before on here 28' is 28' if it's too rough for one too rough for the other - don't kick yourself no such thing as a "bigger" 28'er that would make a difference.
Pantera is a classic look Krypto to me is modern / Euro look. I would liken it to an Apache vs Fountain in styling. I like the classic lines - Pantera |

I like both boats, but I am going to vote Kryptonite.
If I am going to care for and feed 650 HP, I want to be running faster than the 70's. |
Pantera, top speed is overrated.

Kryptonite.
It is by far faster than a 28 Pantera with same power and as said before, 28' is 28' so it will run anywhere a Pantera will. I know from experience. The only factor that may sway you is sit down vs. stand up. I prefer sit down as you can see from my run of boats: 22 Donzi Classic, 29 Kryptonite, 38 Donzi ZrComp. |
Agreed, 28' is 28' no matter how you look at it. IMO, 28 is a little short for a sit down boat if it's going to be used in rougher water. You're going to take some hits in either, so my spine would say stand-up. Given that, I think I'd take the deeper freeboard and stand-up found in the Pantera.
