What is it about that top shot that makes it look fake? Not In a bad way. Is it that the boat is so in focus and the depth of focus is so short making the water just a blur? Really cool shot!

It's shot with a slow shutter speed, it's tough to do and get just right, but once in a while you get lucky. Tim has gotten pretty good at it, you'll see some pretty nice examples in his galleries.
It can also be done after the fact in photoshop, but you can't get the same effect on the props and close surroundings of the boat that way.
That top shot made this years Powerboat magazine calendar...
