GotTheFever 05-22-2002 03:03 PM

I would not be too worried, it is only calling for scattered thunder storms. This is typical for this time of year. I’ve been there years past when a storm has rolled through. Everybody splits for a while, then re-groups a couple of hours later after the storm has passed. If the storm is not too bad, you can always wait it out in the cuddy, unless you have a cat, then you just have to try to out run it.

MitchStellin 05-22-2002 03:11 PM

It will only rain on the outside. Just find a big cabin (another reason for a V boat, or a pontoon for that matter) and have fun. I will be on my roof replacing it so even if it rained actual cats and dogs you will have more fun than I. Just post the nakid pictures when you get back:D

Audiofn 05-22-2002 03:19 PM

Phantom: I am working on your bill right now :p :p :p Oh ya have fun at the Yard stick, that will be all new and original you guys only go there every weekend :p :p I am sure the you can get Jeffrey to get naked in exchange for the tow home after he runs out of gas:rolleyes:

Cord 05-22-2002 03:21 PM

Hmmm. You won't be seeing any creamy skinned northern girls bearing their assets in havesue with that maxed out uv exposure! Talk about instant carcenoma!

Helmwurst 05-22-2002 03:30 PM

Wheatherman say right now, sunny and highs in the mid to upper 70's.

Just will not be happy with a big gas bill for nothing!!!

FunHome 05-22-2002 03:49 PM

I don;t think the Weathermen Know what it's going to do!! I agree with "Got the Fever" this is a typical forcast for this time of year!!

Another thing to remember that is great about the Ozarks, is that a storm can be "Hit or Miss" It can rain it's ass off in one cove and not the next!! Thay also move through pretty fast, lots of time it can rain and then in 10min it's sunny again!:)

MNFastboat that is a real tough call. All I can tell ya is that they did say rain for today and tomarrow and today is sunny and nice. Man I can not comment on the weather in this area as this is my first trip. Wish I could be more help there. I talked to a couple people up the street and they said that most of this looks like passing showers nothing serious.

Jon

Cord 05-22-2002 05:56 PM

My dad has commented many a time on how the storms are "hit and miss". (He lives just south in Arkansaw) Yes, I think that it is a long way to tow the boat, but any time you go on a trip you have to take the risk that it's going to rain. You drag it along and it'll rain the whole weekend. You leave it behind and you'll be kicking yourself.

Guys, I did my part to stop the rain. Just mowed the yard, covered all the outdoor items you cover if it's going to rain, and left the truck filthy-dirty.

Now just waiting for the engine builder to call back, so I know how to schedule the weekend.

MnFastBoat 05-23-2002 08:58 PM

friggin$)(*@&#)) truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, here I sit, typing away
Wishing there was a way
To be on my way
TO LOTO!
Made it 115 miles from home and noticed the rear axle leaking gearlube. Pulled the plugged and checked. EMPTY!
Filed it, drove 10 miles and it was spraying out: (
Took the truck to a place at 8 am
At 5 PM there was no way in hell it was getting fixed

Needless to say I am not in for the big dicks run
I am not in for dinner Thursday night
I am back home where I started: (
! 7.5 hours later I have traveled 230 miles in a circle

Looking at a grand to get the truck fixed: (
This does not include the part where I might have to pick up my own parts here in Minneapolis and take them to the truck myself.
This ensures me that they can fix it.
Other wise, it may not be until Sat
If all goes well, and so far it has not, should be there sometime Saturday early am: (

Or I sleep now and wake up at midnight, grab my car, leave the rental sit here at home since they will not let me take it to LOTO, drive to LOTO, return home on Monday, drive back to Albert Lee on Tuesday and return the rental that I will have to pay 100 bucks for, and pick up the truck n boat: (

Night
I am way to tired for this thinking and decisions.
Been up since 1 am and I am farther away from LOTO then I was when I started:)

Everyone, have a few drinks for me:)
