I think the red vee is really pretty.
"Functional" center consoles are rarely very attractive if they're really set up to "work", & not just to look good. I don't mean that to sound negative in the least, just that they are a difficult canvas to get both style AND functionality to blend with.
With so many center consoles out there to compete with, building one that gets the JOB done has to be the main objective if you're going to compete in that market.
