Book means nothing.it depends how much he wants to sell it.He may have another boat that he wants that he is getting a great deal on,it also may have been for sale for years.Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay.

Well they told me 34k was the lowest they would go.I've been hard pressed to find boats built in late 80's to early 90's that are asking about that amount let alone a boat with 140 hrs on it

if somebody isnt hurting they wont let something go. But these days boats are not worth what they were specially high performance gas guzzlers. The problem with books price on boats is they are very general VERY. The problem is there isnt that many boats out there relative to cars. Book prices on cars are for more accurate. Doesnt hurt to offer. I put in a lot offers over the last year or so before I bought my boat an you would be surprised what you see. I put in offers for 45 K boats for 30 grand and people moved all the way down to 35 on them. You just never know

While this is a clean low HR boat, in this market, they SOULD take 30K. That would be my offer and no higher. If they wont, look else where. LOTS of options out there IMO. Plus, this is not a rough water boat. Depends how you drive too........

"If that is the boat you want" show up at his door step with a bank check in hand, ready to sign it to him for 28K. If he turns that down in today's market for that particular boat I would say he was crazy. Money talks, conversations and emails in my book don't hold to much water. Money on the doorstep is harder to turn down. Just my 2 cents.

I would schedule an appointmant to see the boat and sea trial the boat and pick it apart. In a professional mannor, not to piss him off. Then if you still wanna buy show him 100 dollar bills, maybe half 50"s and the rest 100s. make it look like alota cash..The bank check just doesn't speak as loudly as cash. probably because its KING. should be easy to negotiate with on trailer.

Funny how so many people think it's an automatic FIRESALE when they see a boat on the market.
If the guy's stuck on 34k I don't see how showing up with a dump truck full of coins is going to change anything.
